BROWARD COUNTY VITAL RECORDS
The Broward County Division of Vital Records (Broward County Vital Records) issues certified copies of Broward County birth certificates and Broward County death certificates, for events which occurred within Broward County. You may order copies of Broward County vital records through VitalChek on an expedited basis.

BROWARD COUNTY BIRTH CERTIFICATES
Broward County Vital Records issues only certified copies of Broward County birth certificates, which are typically acceptable for passport, social security, employment and personal identification purposes.

Who Can Order?
Broward County birth certificates can be issued only to the person named on the record if of legal age (18), parent, guardian or legal representative of one of those persons or by court order. In the case of a deceased registrant, upon receipt of the death certificate of the decedent, a Broward County birth certificate can be issued to the spouse, child, grandchild, sibling, if of legal age, or a legal representative of any of these persons, as well as to the parent.

BIRTH
A certified birth certificate that can typically be used for travel, passport, proof of citizenship, social security, driver's license, school registration, personal identification and other legal purposes. Birth Certificates are available for events that occurred in Broward County from 1930 to present. Important Note: Certificates for new events are not available for ordering until 30 days after the birth occurred.

BIRTH / STATEWIDE
A certified birth certificate that can typically be used for travel, passport, proof of citizenship, social security, driver's license, school registration, personal identification and other legal purposes. Birth Certificates are available for events that occurred anywhere in the State of Florida from 1930 to present. Important Note: Certificates for new events are not available for ordering until 30 days after the birth occurred.
