EL DORADO COUNTY VITAL RECORDS
The El Dorado County Recorder issues Authorized and Informational copies of El Dorado County vital records including El Dorado County birth certificates, El Dorado County death certificates, and Certified El Dorado County marriage records (for marriage licenses that were issued in El Dorado County).

El Dorado County Recorder issues Authorized and Informational copies of El Dorado County birth certificates, authorized copies are typically acceptable for passport, social security, employment and personal identification purposes.

Who Can Order?
To order copies of El Dorado County birth certificates online, you must have a valid Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover Card.

You may also order El Dorado County birth certificates through VitalChek's fax service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You may order copies of El Dorado County birth certificates by mail or in person at the El Dorado County Recorder. If you apply by mail, your request must include: the full name on the birth certificate; the date of birth; the city where the birth occurred; father's full name; mother's full maiden name; your relationship to the person named on the certificate; a daytime telephone number; and the address where the record should be sent; and the sworn statement. BIRTH INFORMATIONAL COPY
If you are not eligible to receive an authorized copy of the birth certificate, you will receive a certified informational copy with the words 'INFORMATIONAL, NOT A VALID DOCUMENT TO ESTABLISH IDENTITY' imprinted across the face of the copy. This document is primarily used for genealogy and cannot be used for identification purposes.
