MARYLAND VITAL RECORDS
The Maryland Division of Vital Records (Maryland Vital Records) issues certified copies of Maryland birth certificates, Maryland death certificates, Maryland marriage records and Maryland divorce records for events which occurred within the State of Maryland. You may order copies of Maryland vital records through VitalChek on an expedited basis.

MARYLAND DIVORCE RECORDS
Maryland Vital Records issues certified copies of Maryland divorce records (verifications) which verify the names of the persons divorced, they type of divorce action, the county in which the divorce took place, and the date of the decree.

Who Can Order?
Copies of Maryland divorce certificates will be issued to the certificate holder or the certificate holder's spouse. All other applicants must contact Maryland Vital Records directly.

Where Can The Document Be Shipped?
Maryland Vital Records will only ship copies of Maryland marriage records to the entitled applicant's verified credit card billing address. Please note that express couriers will not ship to a P.O. Box.

DIVORCE VERIFICATION
A certified copy of the divorce certificate. This is not a copy of the divorce decree. Divorce records are available for events that occurred within the State of Maryland from 1990 to present. For events that occurred prior to 1990, you will need to contact the Circuit Court Clerk in the county where the event occurred.
