The City of Akron Health Department (Akron Vital Records) issues certified copies of Akron birth certificates and Akron death certificates for events which occurred within the City of Akron. You may order copies of Akron vital records through VitalChek on an expedited basis.

Akron Vital Records also accepts walk-in customers. Payment may be in the form of cash, check or debit card (additional charges apply). This office also accepts mail orders, with a typical processing and delivery period of 7 - 10 business days following receipt of order. Mail orders must be accompanied by a check made payable to Akron Health Department for the amount of the certificate(s) only.
