MISSISSIPPI VITAL RECORDS
The Mississippi State Department of Health, Office of Vital Records (Mississippi Vital Records) issues certified copies of Mississippi birth certificates, Mississippi death certificates and Mississippi marriage records for events that occurred within the State of Mississippi. You may order copies of Mississippi vital records through VitalChek on an expedited basis.

MISSISSIPPI DEATH CERTIFICATES
Mississippi Vital Records issues certified copies of Mississippi death certificates that can typically be used to obtain death benefits, to claim insurance proceeds and for other legal purposes.
Who Can Order?
To order copies of Mississippi death certificates, you must be a member of the decedent's immediate family (parent, spouse, sibling, adult child, grandparent). If you are not a member of the decedent's immediate family, you must submit documentation showing that you have a direct and tangible interest. Please fax documentation to 877.888.1549.
Where Can The Document Be Shipped?
Mississippi Vital Records will only ship copies of Mississippi death certificates to the entitled applicant's home or work address. Please note that express couriers will not ship to a P.O. Box.
Refunds
The $15.00 fee entitles the applicant to one Certified copy of the death record on file (November 1, 1912 to present). If the record is not found, a "Not on File" statement will be issued. Vital record fees are nonrefundable, with the exception of fees paid for additional copies when no record is found.
