Death

A certified copy that can typically be used to obtain death benefits, claim insurance proceeds, notify social security and other legal purposes. Death Certificates are available for events that occurred in the State of Mississippi from 1912 to present.

Marriage

A certified copy of the Certificate of Marriage. This is not a copy of the marriage license. Marriage records are available for events that occurred in the State of Mississippi from January 1, 1926 to June 1, 1938 and from January 1, 1942 to present. Records from July 1938 to December 1941 are available from the Circuit Court Clerk in the county where the marriage license was issued.

Birth
An exact certified duplicate of the original record that can typically be used for travel, passport, proof of citizenship, social security, driver's license, school registration, personal identification and other legal purposes. Birth Certificates are available for events that occurred in the State of Mississippi from November 1, 1912 to present.
