The Tarrant County Clerk's Office issues certified copies of Tarrant County birth certificates for events which occurred within Tarrant County from 1876 to present. Tarrant County Clerk's Office also issues birth abstracts for events which occurred anywhere in the state of Texas from 1926 to present and death certificates for events which occurred in Tarrant County from 1903 to the present. TARRANT COUNTY DEATH CERTIFICATES
A certified copy of a death record that can typically be used to obtain death benefits, claim insurance proceeds, notify social security and other legal purposes. Death Certificates are available for events that occurred in Tarrant County, except for the following locations:
- Arlington from 1/14/1971 to present
- Bedford from 4/1/1971 to present
- Benbrook from 5/1/1987 to present
- Grapevine from 8/20/1973 to present
- Keller from 1/1/1987 to present
- Mansfield from 8/1/1987 to present
- North Richland Hills from 7/1/1981 to present
Who Can Order?
Tarrant County death certificates will only be issued to an immediate family member or to a court-appointed representative. Legal Guardian and Legal Representative must provide additional documentation.
