Who Can Order?
Copies of public Butte County marriage records may be obtained by the parties of the marriage or immediate family members. Certified copies of confidential Butte County marriage records may only be obtained by the husband or the wife; or, by court order. If you are the husband or the wife, proof of your identity and a notarized Certificate of Acknowledgement must be submitted with your request before the order will be processed.
